Peru’s tourism site now has an AI planner
PROMPERÚ and Peru’s tourism ministry have put an AI-powered travel assistant on Peru.travel. It’s live on the official tourism website and gives real-time trip planning help in Spanish and English using verified tourism content.
The tool can suggest destinations, build itineraries and answer trip questions based on time, budget and interests. Officials say it also points travelers toward lesser-known regions and can map out routes that go beyond Lima, Cusco and other major stops.
Digital nomads and expats can use the same tool
The assistant is open to domestic and international travelers, including long-stay visitors, expats and digital nomads. No special registration, ID check or fee has been mentioned and it works in a web browser without a separate app.
That makes it useful for longer stays too. Users can ask for multi-week routes, quieter regions or city-to-city plans that mix work-friendly hubs with nature, food and culture stops. The service is being framed as a public planning tool, not a visa or residency channel.
Use it for planning, not for immigration rules
The assistant is meant to speed up trip planning on the official site, but it doesn’t replace consular or migration sources for legal questions. Travelers still need to check official immigration pages for visas, residency or work-permit rules.
For now, the public-facing value is simple: it’s free, it’s already online and it pulls from curated tourism information. Read our full Peru guide for the complete picture and check visa updates for the latest rule changes.
