TravelKon app covers tourists in 180 destinations with July 16 update

TravelKon updated the app on July 16, adding installation guidance and improving its offline experience. The company still references QR-code installation on its website, so the process may vary between products rather than being entirely app-based.

Plans cover destinations including Japan, Indonesia, the United States, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Regional and global plans can cover several countries, reducing the need for repeated SIM changes during multi-stop trips. Install before leaving reliable Wi-Fi

TravelKon delivers eSIM details instantly by email and keeps plan information inside the app. Most eSIMs can be activated within six months of purchase, while many plans remain valid for seven to 90 days after activation.

The practical step is to complete installation before departure while connected to reliable Wi-Fi, then wait to activate the plan until arrival unless its instructions say otherwise. Activating too early could start the plan’s validity period before the trip.

Most TravelKon products are prepaid and data-only. Calls and texts are included only when a plan states so and some products require data roaming or specific network settings.
