Aerolíneas Argentinas expands to 12 weekly flights for nomads in Argentina

Aerolíneas Argentinas schedule on the Madrid route
Aerolíneas Argentinas operates 12 weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Madrid as of July, up from seven at the start of the year. The carrier moved to nine weekly frequencies in April, then added three more in July to reach the current schedule, per the airline's official announcement.
The added rotations were timed to feed connections on both ends: onward European routing out of Madrid-Barajas and domestic Argentine segments out of Ezeiza. A codeshare with Air Europa extends ticketing through Madrid to Bilbao, La Coruña, Vigo, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, London and Lisbon.
Who gains from the extra frequencies
Travelers splitting time between Schengen countries and South America get more direct-seat inventory and tighter same-day or next-day connection windows through Madrid and Ezeiza. The expanded schedule lands during a period of growing competition on the route, with Plus Ultra also holding a 2025 authorization to operate Madrid,Buenos Aires service under Argentina's bilateral air-services framework.
Tourists picking up promotional fares from Madrid and Rome that Aerolíneas began pushing in January 2026 can now bundle add-on domestic Argentine segments with broader date flexibility. Remote workers running visa-clock trips between the EU and Argentina benefit from the same flexibility, though the schedule change itself doesn't alter any entry rules.
Booking and entry considerations
The frequency increase is a schedule update, not a regulatory change. No new fees, forms or travel authorizations apply because of it.
Standard entry rules still govern the route:
- Schengen/Spain entry: rules vary by nationality and residence status. The 90/180 short-stay cap still applies to visa-exempt visitors.
- Argentina entry: visa or visa-waiver conditions depend on passport. Decree 366/2025 changes for visitors remain in force.
- Codeshare bookings: tickets sold by Aerolíneas on Air Europa-operated segments follow the operating carrier's baggage and check-in rules.
Travelers booking peak-season trips between December and February should lock in seats early, since the three added frequencies don't fully absorb southern-summer demand on the route.
