Tax residence test: Resident after more than 180 days in Mozambique in the tax year (consecutive or not), or fewer days with a home kept as a permanent residence to No day count since Jan. 1, 2026: a person is tax resident if their main residence is in Mozambique, they carry on a professional activity there (paid or not) unless it is shown to be secondary, or their center of economic interests is there. Residents are taxed on worldwide income
