Malawi Visa Rule Changes

Nationals exempt from a Malawi visa: Expanded visa waiver covering many more nationalities, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and EU states (about 63 to 79 countries by different counts); revocation announced in the 2025/26 Mid-Year Budget Review on 2025-11-21 to Visas are required from all nationals except: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Benin, Dominica, Ecuador, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Haiti, Hong Kong, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and Vanuatu; SADC and COMESA nationals unless their country requires visas of Malawians; listed laissez-passer holders on official business; and diplomatic or service passports on a reciprocal basis
