Grab offers 20% discount on Singapore and Malaysia cross-border taxi bookings

How the cross-border booking works
Grab’s Cross-Border SG-JB (Beta) now lets riders book licensed taxis between Singapore and parts of Johor, Malaysia through the app. The service runs on advance bookings made 12 hours to 7 days ahead and uses fixed fares paid cashlessly in SGD or MYR.
The rollout started May 4 after Grab received the first Cross-Border Ride-Hail Service Operator Licence on April 30. Pickups can start anywhere in Singapore and drop-offs cover Johor Bahru, Iskandar Puteri, Forest City, Kulai and Senai.
Who gets the most use out of it
The service is aimed at tourists, expats, digital nomads and business travelers who regularly cross the border and want a door-to-door option instead of queuing at terminals. Larger vehicles are available too, including 4-seaters, 6-seaters and premium options.
Return trips from Malaysia to Singapore are more limited. Riders can book pickups only from fixed points such as Toppen Shopping Centre, Midvalley Southkey Mall, Angsana Mall and Larkin Sentral Terminal.
What riders need to know
Fares are shown upfront in the Grab app and include tolls and ERP charges. Grab said one example, after the introductory discount, is about S$100.50 for a trip from Punggol to JB City Square, with a base fare of about S$80 for a 4-seater.
A 20% promo code, CBTSG, is valid until Aug. 2. Riders should look for the cross-border taxi decal on the vehicle, since the service uses licensed taxis, not private-hire cars.
