Partial bus strikes in Spain disrupt Barcelona nomads through Oct. 29

Barcelona nomads using TMB buses face six more days of partial strikes through Oct. 29, after the first October stoppages began Oct. 8.
Remaining dates and service windows
Workers announced the schedule Sept. 25, ARA reported. Stoppages remain scheduled for Oct. 14, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29. Each date has three windows: 9 to 11 a.m., 7 to 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., ABC reported.
Minimum service is set at 40% during peak periods and 20% during off-peak periods, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) confirmed. These are minimum levels, not a promise of normal capacity. Ordinary service is expected outside the stoppages, though buses entering or leaving depots may cause further disruption, ABC reported.
Alternatives for visiting nomads and foreign residents
The disruption affects TMB bus users, whether visiting briefly or living in Barcelona. The metro isn't part of this strike, so it offers an alternative for remote workers traveling during the daytime stoppages.
The metro closes at midnight on these strike dates. For the final hour of the overnight stoppage, travelers should check suitable Nitbus routes, which use different operators, ABC reported.
